团队主要面向化工行业转型升级和能源、环境、新材料等战略性新兴产业发展的重大需求，围绕绿色新型催化材料与高效反应技术领域的关键问题开展研究。研究方向包括：杂化纳米结构金属催化剂及其高效协同催化作用；新型分子筛及碳材料与环境友好催化；微波催化作用及微波催化反应技术；高效微波催化的应用基。宦菪ǖ佬托渤亓Ψㄖ票改擅状呋牧嫌牍δ懿牧霞捌溆τ玫。团队开辟了微波催化作用新方向：发现微波是加速化学反应的新动力，揭示和阐明了微波催化作用，发现了微波选择催化作用，创建了微波催化反应技术和微波催化氧化反应技术；开创了纳米金属和纳米半导体协同催化作用新方向，发现并揭示了其协同催化作用；创建了制备纳米功能材料超重力反应技术，并获得产业化应用。近年来，团队承：筒斡肓斯易匀豢蒲Щ、湖南省自科基金重点项目、湖南省科技厅攻关项目、中石化总公司横向课题等一批科研课题，相关研究成果在Chem Commun、Chem Eng J、Ind &Eng Chem Res、J Hazard Mater、ChemCatChem、Catal Sci Technol、Energy Convers Manage等期刊发表SCI论文100多篇，申请发明专利70项，已获授权43项，其中美国发明专利2 项。培养了多名博士和硕士研究生，获湖南省优秀博士毕业论文1篇，湖南省优秀硕士毕业论文1篇。
团队负责人周继承，金博188app化工学院二级教授，博士生导师，1999年毕业于大连理工大学工业催化专业，获工学博士学位。入选湖南省新世纪121人才工程，湖南省高等学校青年骨干教师， “环境友好催化与绿色化工工艺” 湖南省高校科技创新团队带头人，湖南省化学工程重点学科方向带头人，工业催化学位点负责人。
The research group for “Green Catalysis & Microwave Catalysis” of Xiangtan University
The research group for “Green Catalysis & Microwave Catalysis” of Xiangtan University was established with fundamental supports from several important platforms including “The Subject of Chemical Engineering & Technology”, “National & Local United Engineering Research Centre for Chemical Process Simulation and Optimization”, “The University Key Laboratory of Green Catalysis & Reaction Engineering of Hunan Province”, and “The University Innovation Team of Science &Technology for Environment-Friendly Catalysis &Green Chemical Process of Hunan Province”. The group leader was Prof. Jicheng Zhou, and the main researchers in the group include Associated Prof. Fanghua Xie, Associated Prof. Jinjun Cai, Dr. Zhimin You and Dr. Wentao Xu, in addition to more than 40 PhD./Master candidates and undergraduates.
The group mainly focused on the key issues in the field of new green catalysts for the efficient catalytic reaction technologies, which is based on the transformation and upgrading of chemical industry and the great needs from the development of strategic emerging industries such as energy, environment, and new materials, performing the series of original basic researches with high-novelty. The present major research interests of the group are listed as follows: (a) Hybrid nanostructured metal catalysts and their synergistic catalytic effect, (b) New materials of molecular sieves & carbons for environment-friendly catalysis, (c) Microwave catalysis and microwave catalytic reaction technology, (d) Application of high-efficiency microwave catalysis, and (e) Spiral channel type rotating bed supergravity method for the preparation of new functional materials and their applications. The group opened up a new direction for the microwave catalysis with the main contribution to the new understanding about microwave catalysis: (a) demonstrating the new discovery of microwave as new power to accelerate the chemical reactions; (b) revealing and illustrating microwave catalysis effect and discovering the selectivity effect of microwave catalysis; and (c) pioneering the creation of microwave catalytic reaction & microwave catalytic oxidation reaction technology. Moreover, the group also opened up the new direction of synergistic catalysis effect of nanostructured metal and semiconductor, discovering and revealing the synergistic catalysis effect of complex catalyst. Last but not the least, the group also opened up a supergravity reaction technology for the preparation of nanostructured functional materials, which has already been tentatively applied for some detailed industries. In recent years, the group members have already undertaken or participated in large number of scientific projects supported from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the key project of Natural Science Foundation of Hunan Province, the key Technology Research program from the Department of Science and Technology of Hunan Province, and also several industrial projects from Sinopec Corporation. To date, the related researches were published in some specialized journals like Chem Commun, Chem Eng J, Ind & Eng Chem Res, J Hazard Mater, ChemCatChem, Catal Sci Technol, Energy Convers Manage, and etc. The group members have already published more than 100 SCI papers, applied 70 invention patents and granted 43 patents including 2 US invention patents. The group members have also cultivated many outstanding students achieving the doctor and master degrees, and one of the PhD thesis and master thesis were wined excellence awards of Hunan Province.
Prof. Jicheng Zhou (second grade professor of School of Chemical Engineering, Xiangtan University) as the group leader is a supervisor for PhD candidates. He obtained his engineering PhD degree of industrial catalysis from the Dalian University of Technology in 1999. He has been selected as a famous researcher from the project of New Century 121 Talent of Hunan Province, and he is also honorable as one of the youth core teachers for universities of Hunan Province. Prof. Jicheng Zhou is also a leader for the team of University Innovation Science & Technology for Environment-Friendly Catalysis &Green Chemical Process of Hunan Province; a leader for the area of chemical engineering as the key subject of Hunan Province; and the head of academic degree for industrial catalysis.
